UKNR: Numerical relativity in the uk

welcome to the UKNR website

Our goal is to bring together experts in numerical relativity based in the UK to share expertise and develop an internationally leading community.

UK BASED NR codes and collaborations

The Einstein Toolkit is a community-driven software platform of core computational tools to advance and support research in relativistic astrophysics and gravitational physics.

ExaGRyPE describes a suite of solvers for numerical relativity, based upon ExaHyPE 2, the second generation of our Exascale Hyperbolic PDE Engine.

The GRTL Collaboration develops numerical codes that test the limits of General Relativity in dynamical strong gravity regimes, including higher dimensional spacetimes, and physics beyond GR and the Standard Model.

METHOD is a special-relativistic, multi-dimensional, multi-fluid ElectroMagnetoHydroDynamic solver.

MHDueT is an automatically generated, efficient computational code with distributed adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) which solves strongly gravitating, high density matter to study the dynamics of compact objects (i.e., black holes and neutron stars) in different astrophysical scenarios.
